A Blopuck Xmas

A blast from the past, 1988 recording of the Blopuck Christmas album. Each tune was arranged from the perspective of, “what if this band recorded the song…” Some are closer than others, a good time was had by all, no animals were harmed in the recording of this album. Personnel is Thom Van Ourkerk on drums and backing vocals, Paul Enriquez on bass, Todd Richmond on guitar, vocals, other noises.

What Child is This – kind of Clash meets classic rock
Jingle Bells – a punkish refrain on this one
We Three Kings of Orient Are- feeling rather Pink and Floydish
Silent Night (Rasta Night)- the title explains it
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer – some SRV influence (RIP)
Away in a Manger- channeling my inner Edge of U2
Good King Wenceslas – kinda Clapton-esque (during the heavy booze periods)
