If users remain happy and healthy, and they continue to have a positive impact on society \u2013 albeit via a VR medium \u2013 is it a problem?<\/li>\n<li>What are the market and policy implications if\/as <strong><em>the price of VR hardware and content decreases<\/em><\/strong> and the technology becomes more accessible? Is there a risk that it is used more frequently where it may not necessarily add value, with the \u201cgimmick\u201d of VR becoming more pervasive?\u00a0 To what extent might this perceived risk stifle more valuable applications and benefits?<\/li>\n<li>As with Serious Gaming, how might <strong><em>insufficient business models<\/em><\/strong> threaten more extensive but practical adoption? How can development and deployment of serious capabilities leverage investments and revenues in the entertainment sector?<\/li>\n<li>How can AR\/VR increase the effectiveness and reduce the cost of <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rand.org\/well-being\/justice-policy\/projects\/simulation-based-training.html\">training<\/a>, especially with respect to policing<\/strong><\/em>, de-escalation, and decision-making under stress.\u00a0 How is the effectiveness of VR-based training measured?<\/li>\n<li>How can VR-based <strong><em>training games be integrated with an electroencephalogram<br \/>(EEG)<\/em><\/strong> and adapt to a user\u2019s brain activity?<\/li>\n<li>How could VR\/AR be used to enable virtual travel and help <strong><em>increase cultural awareness<\/em><\/strong> without the usual expenses of travel?<\/li>\n<li>VR\/AR has seen applications as a method for actual medical treatment for PTSD.\u00a0 How else might it be used for <em><strong>health benefits<\/strong><\/em>?<\/li>\n<li>How could AR\/VR be used to <em><strong>increase situational awareness<\/strong><\/em> for first responders and for warfighters?<\/li>\n<li>Fundamentally, AR\/VR provides new ways of representing information and data, so how might it be used for <strong><em>policy analysis<\/em><\/strong>?
