This conclave will discuss a wide-range of topics relating to digital society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some topics that arose in the group&#8217;s discussion:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>positive vs. negative rights<\/li><li>the role of trust + consensus in digital governance<\/li><li>the relative ease of assuring trust at the level of local governance\/politics as opposed to at higher non-local levels.<\/li><li>Incumbency as the primary hurdle to tech innovation<\/li><li>Framing as prioritization instead of absolute choices:<\/li><li>privacy vs security<\/li><li>freedom vs material security<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>TNL disclaimer: this work represents experimental, exploratory, and often in-progress or preliminary efforts.
