An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technologyreview.com\/2023\/02\/06\/1067897\/runway-stable-diffusion-gen-1-generative-ai-for-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MIT Tech Review piece<\/a> talking about Runway (the company behind Stable Diffusion) launching a generative AI for video. Perhaps not ready for prime time, but certainly pointing towards a future where algorithms can remix based on some starting material and a few prompts. Runway is targeting end users that make video, so look for this type of AI to transform the VFX industry, and eventually filmmaking itself. Will this turn everyone into a brilliant CGI-wiz? Perhaps not &#8211; there is more to artistry than the tools. But as the tools get more powerful and in the hands of more people, certainly there will be some level of content creation democratization happening. That is, if you have the means to be making content in the first place.
