a little more longer

My original plan was to head back into the office this week. Well, after Monday which after all is Labor day. Hmm, end of summer. The boy is back to school on Tuesday. In a "normal" year we'd be at the beach tomorrow. And today. And yesterday. But this year is far from normal. At least the past 2 weeks. But I digress.

Anywho my plan was to be back in the office next week. I'd have a car to drive (either rented or bought by now), and would trudge in like a trooper. But you know what? Screw that. I go out for an hour or two during the day being driven by Sharon, and when I get home I'm exhausted. It is just too much. Evidently my body is telling me something. But I'm dense. So I'm reminded. I'll work from home again next week. If I have some important meeting I'll get a ride in, but another week on the couch seems to be what's required.

In the good news department, my knee seems to be healing well. It is still ugly, but not a gaping hole like it was. The foot...hard to tell. I guess it is getting better. But I don't have much feeling around the wound so it is difficult to tell. I think that one will be a slow healer.

Next challenge will be next weekend. Originally I was scheduled to instruct at a POC driving clinic all day Saturday, then race and instruct on Sunday. Neither of those is in the cards now...impossible to drive my car, and instructing is actually quite hard on the body, especially the legs. I *might* find a way to go up Saturday and shoot some video for a mini documentary I want to make on the driving clinic. But like a non-dense boy, I'm not making any solid plans. Who knows if I'll have a car by then (or if I can drive), and how I'll be feeling. Time will tell...
