little feat

I never got heavily into Little Feat, but maybe I should have. Lowell George is quite amazing. I remember first being exposed to them at UCSC. Ahh, Santa Cruz. Some stories from that place...and some demons revisited back in the fall of '04. Seems like forever...the fall of '04 that is. A few lifetimes ago. But that's a whole 'nother blog post about upheaval, massive changes, and people putting up walls down the line.

Anywho, god bless the Vault on Sirius, as they played this little ditty (right after "Fat Man" by Jethro Tull). I'd never heard it before, but it hit the spot. I'm sure a shrink would have a field day with the pronouns in it (probably not what/who/when you think...then again, what do I know?).

Ah, hello...Give me missing persons, they said
What is it that you need?
I said oh, I need her so...She said you've
Got to stop your pleading

'Cause no matter what you do,
Even pray to heaven above, ooh
All you'll ever get from her is
Long distance love

I read the papers
And I got the blues
I'm so sad to hear the news
Help wanted, but not enough
You know these times are gettin' rough

'cause no matter what I do
Even pray to heaven above
All I ever get from her is long distance love

You know her toes were so pretty
And her life so sweet
I wonder do she know
Do she she know she hurt me so

'cause no matter what I do
I even pray to heaven above
All I seem to get from her is
Long distance love
Long distance love
