The dog and pony prep continues, and as usual I learned a few things about the tools and the trade. First off, PowerPoint sucks (knew that). Keynote is ok, and I was able to do some nice animations that really get the point across. In one slide I have about 40 images come on screen in 0.1 second intervals...visually tells the story I want. The problem is that my colleague who I'm tag-teaming with is using PowerPoint, and while one can go between Ppt and Keynote (Keynote will import/export), it turns out that Ppt can't go any quicker than 0.5 seconds. So my nice crisp animation in Keynote turns into molasses in Ppt. Since the point I'm trying to make is being overwhelmed by images and assets, having them come in nice and slow kinds lessens the impact.
So screw it - it'll have to be two separate presentations. I need my 0.1 seconds.
