tale of two hotels

First, there is the Hampton Inn in Fredericksburg, VA. Under $100 a night, comfy bed with nice down comforter, flat screen, spacious bathroom with brand new fixtures, standalone sink, etc. Very nice. Of course that was last night, and tonight is...another night. Best Western Tysons Westbrook (near IAD). The "special" rate of $159. Double bed, old school tv, older bathroom. None of those a deal breaker. But I've been in my room for 2 hours now with the "heater" going full blast and I'm still freezing. Of course if you stand up the top of the room is toast...but bed level is in the 50's I'd guess. Of course that is much better than the 20F or so (with 20mph wind) outside. I can hear the wind howling through my window sill. Weatherstripping? What is that? Brrr...
