0600 alarm, quick shower and head south in driving rain from Hattiesburg, MS to New Orleans. Listening to the classic rock station around 0700 when the song is interrupted by the harsh emergency service warning tones, then the deadpan voice issues a tornado warning for Harrison county. Not being from these here parts, I look that up on my iPhone while driving down I59. Oh, it is the next county over from where I am. Isn't that special!
Thankfully I didn't see my first tornado, but it rained buckets. Only stopping for Waffle House in Slidell, arrived at MSY in plenty of time now biding time waiting to board a flight to Vegas then transfer planes to LAX. If all goes well should be back in LA a little after 1500. Have to fly through some nasty weather en route though. Thankfully st banged the bong on my behalf. Xie xie.
