When you're in (or around) the technology sector, it is a constant battle between fact (of what the technology can do) and fiction (of what people say the technology can do). When you have to actually produce something in the end, you generally find out the real story. Sadly, a happy ending often is elusive. The trick is to try and figure out when someone saying, "oh yeah, it can do that" really knows what they're talking about...
