right time, wrong place

How does 2 gigs turn into 3? When you're at the right place but not the right place. PIF gigs at the VA hospital today, with the first one at "building 215." Pull up to the parking lot, and see a gathering outside with a stage setup. Keyboard player is there, says someone said this is the place. Who am I to argue? I look at the actual building but think, "eh, we've played outdoors before." The rest of the band is late but that isn't rare. We ending doing bass, keys, vocal and horns for about a half hour. Then one of the other band guys comes over and says, "the gig is inside the building - where have you guys been?" Oops. Hustle the gear inside, play a few tunes, then pack up and head to the second gig (well, technically third for some of us). Sigh.
